Hanukkah is right around the corner and my daughter is excited. We don’t celebrate Hanukkah, but when she first learned about the holiday last year, she got so excited that she wanted to learn all about it. A friend of ours sent us a video of her lighting the candles and saying the blessing, and it just inspired her to learn more. I love Fancy Nancy. The popular book series by Jane O’Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser follows Nancy Clancy, a young girl who loves everything fancy. She loves to use big words, and she dresses and accessorizes to impress. She also uses French words whenever she can, and does her best to add a little fantastique to the world around her. With the recent release of the Disney Junior show based on the books, my daughter has fallen in love with the world of Fancy Nancy. We had the opportunity to check out some of the new Fancy Nancy Toys from Jakks Pacific, and it inspired me to put together this list of gifts for Fancy Nancy fans.

To get in the Halloween spirit, we wanted to share this fun book that tells the story of a skeleton in need. He receives help from the friends around him (sometimes with humorous results). This book also provided us with the perfect opportunity to have fun with some skeleton activities, games and crafts!
