Valentine’s Day is a time to share with the ones you love. What better way to help kids share the love than with a great book from one of their most beloved characters? I gathered a list of some of great Valentine’s Day books from some of the most popular characters out there. I hope it helps you to find the right book to celebrate the day with your kids! (If you would like recommendations on great books about love for kids, check out this post!).
Valentine’s Day is right around the corner. It’s a great opportunity to remind the people in your life that you love them. (Yes, we should tell them everyday, but it never hurts to have a reminder!) One of my daughter’s favorite books to read is I Love You Because You’re You by Liza Baker. While reading it again, I was inspired to find other great books to tell her how much I love her.

The Valentine Bears by Eve Bunting tells the story of Mr. and Mrs. Bear. Every year, they sleep through Valentine’s Day, but Mrs. Bear decides that this will be the year that they will come out of hibernation to celebrate. She prepares a sweet snack and writes poems for Mr. Bear. Will she be able to wake him up to celebrate? This is a cute story which is accompanied by beautiful illustrations by Jan Brett. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the story of Mr. and Mrs. Bear, and it provides the perfect opportunity for some Valentine’s Day learning fun!
