These tiny board books feature a cute plush finger puppet through the center of the book, allowing parents to bring the books to life for little ones. Each page features a simple sentence or two introducing readers to parts of the animal’s life, and colorful illustrations.

Donuts

Written by Lea Redmond and illustrated by Flora Waycott

This shaped board book explores different flavors of donuts. The text encourages readers to guess the flavor of each one based on the illustrations on the page. The end of the book includes a sweet message about love and sharing. Kids will love exploring the colorful illustrations and the many delicious flavors of donuts.

Mix It Up

Written and illustrated by Herve Tullet

This board book edition of the popular interactive book lets kids explore color mixing. The simple text encourages readers to rub parts of the page, close the book, push the pages together, and place their hand on the illustrations, in order to change them. The brightly colored illustrations show what happens when you mix colors together, making this a great introduction to the concept for kids.

Mr. Lion’s New Hair!

Written and illustrated by Britta Teckentrup

This book follows Mr. Lion as his friend Mr. Monkey attempts to give him new hairstyles. Every page features a funny new hairstyle on the lion, and the die cut pages show the lion’s same face with each turn of the page. This cute book encourages the reader to play hide and seek with a group of adorable animal characters. The simple text asks the reader to check under the flaps in each illustration. Little ones will love finding the cute animals over and over again.

This lift the flap book explores small acts of kindness around a little llama and her family. The sweet illustrations and simple text explore all kinds of little kindnesses that kids can understand, from heart shaped pancakes to saying thank you to those that help us in our day.

Snap! Chomp Your Jaws!

Written by Bob Barner
