My daughter has always been interested in music. From a young age, she loved watching Disney’s Little Einsteins, and singing and dancing to any music. She was given a set of musical instruments from my sister, and she frequently hands them out to us and asks us to create a band with her. So I was thrilled when we were given the chance to check out this interactive guitar books for kids. It is a fun book for teaching kids to play guitar!

Untold Histories: Stuff I Wish I Had Learned in School
In my experience, there are two types of people in this world-the people who are thrilled to have left their school years behind them, and the ones who get nostalgic for school supplies come September. I am in the latter category. If I had unlimited resources, I would still be in college, collecting degrees and making all the young-ens wonder who the crazy old lady is in the back of the room. Sadly, being a lifelong college student is expensive, and I am not a character on Community.
Sloths are Slow: A Children’s Book about Sloths
Sloths are entertaining animals. I feel like they have been given more attention in pop culture in recent years. (Partially thanks to the funny sloth character in Zootopia, and Kristen Bell’s intense love of them). Why do we find these animals so enjoyable? Is it because they exhibit the one quality that we can’t seem to grasp? Slowing down and not getting caught up in today’s speedy lifestyle? For whatever reason, we decided to celebrate these cute animals by pairing some fun sloth activities with this adorable interactive children’s book about sloths!

As an art lover myself, I encourage this interest and try to share lots of books about artwork with her. I love when children’s books (or television shows) weave classic art into their storytelling, because it gets kids interested and encourages them to learn more. So today I wanted to share some of the children’s books about classic art that we have been enjoying lately!

5 Children’s Books about Grief
Grief is something that is hard for us adults to understand and deal with. So imagine how much harder it is for children to grasp. When it comes to grief, we sometimes don’t know how to discuss it with kids. This can lead to more confusion and sadness. It is so important that we teach kids that their feelings of grief and sadness are perfectly normal, and a part of life. I am always on the lookout for quality books to help me discuss big topics with my daughter. Since we have recently been dealing with some grief in our family, I have been looking for ways to discuss loss with her. Today I have gathered this list of children’s books about grief to help other families discuss the topic as well.
