I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I vividly remember when my sister got me interested in the books, and I rushed home from school to keep reading them. Since then, I have reread the series and watched the movies over and over again. I still love the magic world that JK Rowling created. My daughter isn’t old enough to read the books yet, but she already knows who Harry Potter is. I decided to gather some fun new Harry Potter gifts and books that are perfect for bringing a little magic to your holidays.

Harry Potter: A Hogwarts Christmas Pop-Up*

I LOVE this set! I am a beginner in crochet, but as soon as I got this set, I dove in. In less than a weekend, I managed to create the little Harry Potter doll. At my daughter’s request, I completed the baby Norbert the dragon by the following weekend. The set comes with enough yarn, embroidery floss, stuffing, and safety eyes to make the Harry Potter and Dobby dolls right away.

The included book outlines the patterns in easy to understand wording, and includes easy instructions for the different stitches and steps necessary to complete the dolls. So for newbie crocheters, you can easily flip back and forth when you come across a new stitch. Plus, the book comes with an adorable wand shaped crochet hook that will make you feel magical while you use it. Unfortunately, the wand is made of plastic, so it is a little flimsy, but the rest of the set is so much fun, I didn’t mind.
